I think the contact actually summed up Jameis rather well, an arrogant guy who doesn't care what the rules are.
Watch it again, and again, and you will see how the ref was actually trying to stand his ground, and Jameis pushed all the harder, removing the ref forcefully from his position, more than once. When the ref tries to stand his ground, Winston increases his pressure and shoves him harder. And the kicker may be how Winston, turns at the end and appears to say something or glare at the ref. I don't know what he said or did exactly, but his whole body language seems very disrespectful.
How many players do you know that would push a ref against his will until the ref was out of his way? No one touches a ref, and if they do it's accidental and they apologize quickly, or maybe they do it as a conciliatory gesture with a smile and laugh like a pat. That is as far as it goes. Winston doesn't even care how he pushes the ref, the man is just in his way. That kind of disrespect for others, rules, etc...yeah, that contact seems to sum up a lot of who Winston is right now.
Some might argue that the ref was wrong about the situation, but that doesn't matter. You don't get to shove a ref out of the way when he is deliberately trying to stop you from doing something. Most players wouldn't even have the mindset to do something like that. That is not incidental or accidental contact like some people spun it, including Jimbo Fischer and the ACC. I think just about everyone, except those parties with direct interest in FSU winning, can see that was not acceptable contact.
