It was a horrible case because the Tallahassee PD intentionally covered up the investigation. Not because Jamesis is innocent.
It was a horrible case because the alleged victim stopped cooperating, had a story that kept changing, and had two samples of jizz on her.

I wonder if she stopped cooperating after the police told her nothing would come of this and she should be careful filing charges against a football player? Oh so if two guys raped her then it's not a crime?

I'll still happily relive the memories of cheering on the noles in their mnc championship, I could care less but not that much less what the QB is alleged to have done

When did this supposed conversation happen? According to Tally police the victim stopped returning their calls in Feb, her lawyer stopped returning them in March. I find that story suspect given Greg Dent's case went forward. Same with Travis Johnsons from a decade ago. Both btw were found not guilty of rape or sexual assault. And there are plentiful examples of FSU players not getting their cases quietly buried by Tally police to think a at the time no name QB would have the police intimidate a victim into giving up.

An attorney friend -- later identified as Carroll -- contacted Detective Scott Angulo of the Tallahassee Police Department, who told the lawyer that "Tallahassee was a big football town and the victim needs to think long and hard before proceeding against him because she will be raked over the coals and her life will be made miserable," according to the statement.

Well you have convinced me. The lawyer for the woman says it happened, clearly it did. Must had been a pretty convincing argument by Tally police to have the lawyer wait 9 months to release this revelation after the story hit the news wire.

Wat? Who waited 9 months? Once Winston was identified, the attorney called Detective Angulo, an FSU grad and FSU booster, and that is what he said to her. That story is from over a year ago. How have you not heard of it before now? I remember it from last year. The only reason anything took so long is because Tallahassee PD was dragging their feet and hampering the investigation. I also notice there has been no denial from Detective Angulo that he said it, and he seems to be a fine upstanding guy. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/05/17/cops-credibility-on-the-line-in-kaufman-murder-trial/

I just thought fans of other schools would have learned a lesson from how stupid all the PSU Paterno truthers looked. How can anyone ever defend cover up of rape? Even if Winston was innocent, the investigation was clearly hampered and they tried to cover it up. Inexcusable, but hey, footbaw.

I'll tell you what I'm blathering about... I've got information man! New shit has come to light! And shit... man, she raped herself. Well sure, man. Look at it... a young trophy coed, in the parlance of our times, you know, and she, uh, uh, owes money all over town, including to known pornographers, and that's cool... that's, that's cool, I'm, I'm saying, she needs money, man. And of course they're going to say that they didn't get it, because... she wants more, man! She's got to feed the monkey, I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Hope they award Auburn that National Championship when Winston and the FSU football department are found guilty of interfering in an investigation.

You are finding ways to excuse or defend the cover up of a rape investigation because you root for the guy that was the subject of the investigation. Seems pretty apropos to me.

I'm not defending that shit. I'm saying the case was a terrible. You are focusing on an alleged conversation between her lawyer and this detective. I question the validity given it happened in Feb of 2013 and she waited until Nov to make the claim. But even if it did happened, at the end of the day the facts of the case didn't change. Even if they went through this exercise in early 2013. I don't think the end result would be different. It was a terrible case to prosecute. If it wasnt, Meggs would had gone ahead and did it. He has a history of bringing shitty cases against FSU players. Like Travis Johnson who was found not guilty in 30 minutes. 30 minutes for a jury to return that verdict means the case was terrible.

Been a great couple of weeks for recruiting. See we landed Patrick. Him and Cook in the backfield should be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Is that the recruit who's mom was sold because of how Jimbo stood up for Rapeis? Seems like a solid guy from an upstanding family.

Be nice if our team would show up in the first half of these games. Then no need to go crazy in the second to win.

If this team would perform in the first half like they do in the second. None of these games would be close. That is the frustrating part for me as a fan. They clearly can take control of a game and have the talent to do so. But it is like they need to be on the ropes to finally do it. They are also undisciplined. So many false starts and stupid penalties.

My personal opinion is the DC is not doing well getting these guys ready for their opponent. First half these guys are often out of position and look confused. After half when they make adjustments they play much better. This is where we feel the loss of Pruitt and before him Stoops. On the offensive side of the ball. We know every team is going to blitz. Get the pass protection set for it in the first half. Auburn set the model on how to slow us down on offense. If we played out of the gate knowing we are going to get blitzed every play. Then we can get into the quick hitting short plays that will loosen up their defense.

And for the love of god on 3rd or 4th an 6 inches. Run a QB sneak.
