You can have him.
About 2 months ago he was basically dead man walking, running some dogshit smash mouth offense that wasn't working, a 6-18 record going into the season and a 1-3 start to the season. Then magically they finally open up the offense, defense doesn't have to be on the field 40 minutes a game, fairly easy schedule, and they finish the season 7-1 and actually do play some good ball. What changed was both coordinators, which seemed to be the AD's hires, and Taggart finally seeming to acquiesce the play calling on O to someone else. Basically he got out of his own way long enough to save his job. He's a decent recruiter, but we're mostly talking in relation to the rest of the AAC, he can find 3* Florida guys all day.
I can't imagine a fairly successful SEC school would want a guy who's gone 14-22 in a lower tier conference, but if they want him, they can have him.
