I will pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today?
@Wolfman21
Just because it's shitty doesnt mean I dont want to add good intangible shit heads. No more locker room cancers.
Yes they will
How many thirds, that you drafted in the past five drafts, have made it at the WBL and in a role other than UT/4th OF/BP?

It is illegal. Players have to play their positions. Two players that I've drafted past the third are on your WBL roster and should be starting, but I guess you are tanking? You are playing a 1B at CF, after all. This was basically considered illegal but JD made it the new normal I guess.

I said "YOUR ROSTER" not a trade partner. Who do I have a CF?

OOTP is a resource management game and I'm in a contention window. Prospects are going to get traded for known quantities at need positions more often than if I was rebuilding.
You're reaching new levels of ridiculous with this draft stuff. I was right about Sanchez btw, I just didn't have a place to play him while in a one game do or die pennant race.
Definitely not a shithead
It is unrealistic to think that starters SHOULD regularly come from rounds 3+. With how long players last in this league, most of your starters SHOULD come in Round 1 and that's it.
Many
I think too much stock is put into intangibles by most GMs. Gold mine will be just fine. The 1-1 is rarely a bust. First rounders in general are busts a realistic amount IMO.
That's my point though - a lot of role players with very short careers come after the 1st round, which isn't too dissimilar from how it works in MLB. Worrying about one of the guys you take in the 3rd round and beyond causing issues in the clubhouse is, to borrow a phrase from the originial Shook One @Mr. Radpants, the ultimate in chasing noise. Has the WBL had as many straight up 1st round busts as MLB has had recently? I'm specifically thinking of guys like Matt Bush, Tim Beckham, Dustin Ackley, Donovan Tate, Byron Buxton, and Danny Hultzen that are just straight up busts with no hope of living up to the hype.
Nathan Harrison will be a perennial all star! He just glides out there!
Fwiw, the reasons players usually BUST has less to do with the player and more to do with mongmanagement. You're just going to have to save urself from urself with Goldmine. No moving him up to AA till your co-GM crowdsourcing says so!
Goldmine's fucked
Nah, my plan is to leave him at A for as long as I can (probably 3-4 seasons) and then bump him to AA for a season and see how he does. We're going to be bad for a long time so no reason to rush the guy like he's going to be the difference between 4th and 5th in JV. Besides, I have two guys I'm grooming for LF when Ploeg inevitably falls apart and can't hit or field so if Gold Mine is a bust no big deal. Obviously I'd prefer the guy actual develop and be a solid 3+ WAR player but if he doesn't it's not the end of the world.
3-4 years? He'll get bored AF and his development will stall.

We just need to crowdsource Tony posting about the draft quality and we're good to go babby
