People's Park, no. I only know of Berkeley solely on reputation since it's one of the few campuses more liberal than Ann Arbor.

Dykes should've known to not interview for other jobs while under contract & wasn't given permission. Former Boston College coach Jeff Gadowski is a prime example

Cal's wanted to get rid of him for a long time. They wanted Dykes to take another job so they wouldn't have to buy him out and he never got one. I'm sure they waited until after the new year to lower the buy out. He was always an awful fit at Cal.

IMO they should go for a recruiter/D-mind type.

This is our Jedd Fisch replacement. Probably an upgrade. I was underwhelmed when I first heard his name, but he had two good years at Stanford as offensive coordinator, and then was decent in the NFL, with the shit talent on the Colts' offense. Considering he's just a co-offensive coordinator, it's a pretty big get to get a guy who was an NFL coordinator last year.

Also a quick google tells me Cal was easier to get into than UCLA before this change.
