Man, if only the Big 12 had added UCF and Houston...

You'd instantly have programs better than half of your conference? Yeah. What Bianchi says is true...there's a bunch of teams that are in P5 conferences because they were playing football in 1930 and not because they add any value.

PLAY LA BAMBA BABY
A good number of mid-majors are better than some power conference teams and that's been the case for years. So what? Not everyone can be a powerhouse and there will always be bottom feeders.

LOL at UCF and Houston keeping the Big 12 from becoming the Big East.

Yawn. I remain confident that if the B12 had expanded, that we'd have been in. But the Big 12 is braindead and on its way to being the Big East.

Well, the Big 12 is nothing like the Big East, because they opted against adding mediocre G5 schools that made no sense like UCF (who went 0-12 recently lol), whereas the Big East was at least trying to add great G5 programs that made no sense like Boise.

1. Yeah, and those programs that perform better without all the resources gifted to shit P5 programs should get a chance to perform with those resources in a better conference. If there was any part of American sports screaming for European-style relegation, it's CFB. Fuck Iowa State and all the horseshit programs like them that are cashing checks and getting opportunities while achieving positively nothing.

2. The Big East comment is that when the Big 12 gets raided, and it will in a few years, it will then have to backfill with G5 programs. They could have promoted some G5 programs now, gone to 12 with actual divisions, and then they'd be better positioned to survive losing some teams. UCF, Houston, BYU, even USF (fuck them) would be better than several B12 programs instantly. Both from a long-term (program) standpoint and an immediate on-field standpoint. Well, maybe not BYU this year.

It's almost as though University presidents take other things into consideration when choosing their conference affiliations.

If they were still acting like this was an amateur sport that was a friendly competition between schools and not a billion dollar business, maybe that argument would have some merit.

Um, they ARE still acting like this is friendly competition between amateur atholetes.

There's also historical rivalries (in football and in other sports), geographical affiliation, and class affiliation (old money like Ole Miss, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, don't want to mingle with "new money" like USF, UCF, UAB, etc.)

Yeah, nobody's giving up the Egg Bowl and Magnolia Bowl to watch UCF go 0-12 again.

I don't think Bianchi or anyone is actually arguing to kick out the Mississippi schools. He really should have written the article about Baylor and Iowa State or something...it's more relevant to the point. And there's no one that seriously thinks that UCF is getting into the SEC. It's all about trying to make the Big 12 happen.

Anyway, thought y'all would find this polling information interesting when you're debating about 2 schools in an irrelevant state and not the #3 school in the 3rd largest state in the country.

Finally we took our periodic look at sports loyalties in the state. Florida and Florida State are all tied up on the college front with 24% saying they're a fan of each school. Central Florida at 11%, Miami at 10%, South Florida at 7%, and Florida Atlantic and Florida International each at 4% round out the FBS schools in the state.

Lmao at those playcalls at the 10 yd line. I mean...just totally get cute because that shit works. I mean...dont do what walked you 60 yds down the field on them. This is the reason nc state cant win games when shits on the line. They outthink themselves instead of just sticking to what works. Jalan mclendon hasnt run more than 10 plays all season. Lets break him out in the redzone of the biggest home game in 7+ years!

Im wonderin what crazy shit hes gonna do on the field this game. Spits on fsu logo, rolls across the endzone in the best acting job since scarface against cuse...he might fuck the cardinal at midfield tonight

2nd and 2 and u run your 185 lb rb up the middle, and then you try a rollout to the short side of the field on 3rd and 2.

Drink is having a rough night so far

Didn't think that would be enough to overturn, then I remembered this is a State game

My thoughts exactly.

State giving up too much yardage on 2nd and long. Weve had them at 2nd and 15+ about 4 times and theyve ended up with about 3rd and 3 every time

Christ almighty...that louisville running back just carried the entire team 10 yds.

Nc state has had 3 trips to the redzone lead to 3 pts...this should be so much worse and exactly why we are gonna lose this game

This is setting up to be the PERFECT nashnul narrative in the 4th quarter. I bet $1000 the announcers will start saying "you know all these scouts came to see Jackson, but Finley looks TALL".

I do like Finley, think he can be a solid backup in da Shield at least. If his hands are big enough
