I think on that final play call by Cincy, they were trying to give Ridder the option to either throw it to a wide open guy, run if available, or go down if everyone was covered. That's the only way calling that makes sense. Except it's still incredibly stupid because you're putting the game in the hands of a college kid who hasn't played well at all the second half and of course his eyes are going to light up at the opportunity to get the DAGGER TD in the biggest game of his life. All you have to do is run the ball and you either get the first and win or you run 40-45 seconds off the clock and give Georgia 45 seconds to go 40 yards. It took them twice that.
