Oh they got Njoku. Well all things considered it's been a pretty decent day for the Browns. Could've gotten Njoku at 25 and not traded back in but whatever. Now they just need to tank one more year and grab whatever NASHNUL product in CFB (Darnold? Jackson) at QB and they'll be back to their 6 win equilibrium!

why does this fucking shit have to take 4 hours? They're announcing the 49'ers pick and the Packers are "on the clock"........which is 2 picks away. Fucking make the pick and announce the pick and cut 2 hours off of this stupid shit

Niners flip the #111 pick they got from Bears to Foster (Froster?). I like Lynch better than Baalke after one round.

 You guys are idiots. Peppers was the best player on the #2 defense in the country. His problem is that he was a linebacker in college but he can't play that in the NFL. He'll be a good box safety or nickelback right away in the NFL. His coverage needs work, but if he gets the right coaching, it'll be fine.

Not sure the coaching in Cleveland will make up for this:

Peppers is an interesting case. A guy who came in as DB, has DB size, played linebacker. Didnt put up great numbers as a LB neither. I can't imagine him playing LB in the NFL. SS, Nickle back? Can he cover WRs? That is where it gets weird with him. If he had the cover skills I can't imagine him not playing DB at Michigan.

Packers take Dalvin Cook? Pretty much lock up the NFC north for the next couple years if they did. Not that is something of great accomplishment with the shitshows in Chicago and MN. And Detroit is Detroit. But they would have an amazing back to feed the ball to 250-300 times a year.

Peppers is a very poor mang's Mathieu.

I know you're trolling, but this really exactly right. Peppers is bigger than Mathieu, but way less developed in coverage. I doubt Peppers would ever be as good as him, but he's the same mold of player. If the Browns can develop him, Peppers can be a good NFL safety or slot corner.

He played a decent amount of coverage in 2015 as a nickelback, and he was pretty good but not great. He was not really a traditional linebacker at all last year - more of a hybrid LB/s. He was not asked to do as much in coverage. His stats as a linebacker are not eye popping - except for his 13 tackles for loss - because he wasn't asked to play in the box and be a run stopper all that often.

He also wasn't a traditional DB because he fits a lot better in Don Brown's scheme as a hybrid player. Plus, Michigan had 4 seniors in the secondary that were all better at coverage than Peppers last year. He was much more valuable in the linebacker role he played. I have little doubt that Peppers can learn to cover - he has all the tools he needs.

Seemed like a very average db to me to me. Wasn't even a great tackler.

Edit:
I was late Deadman pedantically said basically the same
