Is Malone gone? I honestly wouldn't mind keeping him, I know they had some brutal road losses to Dallas and Memphis that really fucked with their margin for error but you would think 9 out of every 10 years winning 6 of 7 down the stretch and a 46-36 record is a playoff berth no problem. The West was just fucking nuts this year.

Personally, I'd like to see this team with its' most expensive free agent ever playing at least 60 games before I pass judgement on Malone.

Trap spotted, trap avoided

Oladipo is an all-star now. That is all that needs to be said about RUSS

Also, Kemba Walker is an all-star in the East, and I think we are pretty clear about your opinion of him.

Leach is just trolling to troll, he describes RUSS as being able to get 20 in any category he wants (including turnovers!) in whatever game he wants against whatever opponent he is facing, so he is very much aware of RUSS' greatness.

I’m not even trolling haha

RUSS acted like he doesn’t care about stats and then played a game with the sole mindset of averaging a triple double for the season.

I didn’t say that makes him bad or great or anything. Just that he obviously focuses on stats

Good lord, Oklahoma so defensive of their RUSS

I see you trolling. Everyone knows RUSS is the best basketball player in history or they wouldn't act like it's so easy for him to just focus on averaging a triple double. Every NBA player cares about stats, it's why Durant doesn't shoot half court shots.

How about this tho?

what I'm saying is he intentionally took less shots - and not just a couple, he took over 70% less shots than normal - so he had more opportunities for rebounds
He only had 3 offensive rebounds. Perhaps he passed more because the Thudner shot nearly 50% from 3 and over 55% from the field.
He probably was chasing the triple-double average, but I think his 19 assists had more to do with him taking less shots than trying to get offensive rebounds.

How many games has RUSS had since Durant left with under 10 shots?

If it’s more than three I’ll be shocked - and that’s like 150 game sample.

Haha I’m seriously not trolling.

Looks like he had one other game last year where he only took six shots and played 27 minutes. It didn't happen at all this year.

I don't even care to get into a debate about how good RUSS is, but he's definitely worried about getting his stats, so why deny it? I'd like him so much more if he was like "imma fucking boss because I averaged a triple double two straight years"

believe it or not, you and I are on the same side of this discussion, but its funny how OU is just laying it on super thick lol

He basically did though. He said if he can get 10+ boards per game, and he can, because he wants it more/is better than everyone else, then #whynot

im just pointing out that you'll believe he is so good he can just say "ima get 16 rebounds tonight to average a triple double" and then he does it with ease. that's super ridiculous and is a testament to his talent

because it's a better move to say winning is the main concern. like i said everyone in the nba cares about stats so saying he does too like it's something worth saying is funny to me. the only person in the league that probably doesn't care about stats is klay because he just thinks about his post game milk

Rockets-Wolves could be an interesting match-up imo. Rockets could go on a cold-streak and the T-Wolves were cruising right along in that 3rd seed before Butler went down. If they can get one of the first two it could get interesting pretty quickly. Still expect the Rockets to take care of business though.

Thunder and Jazz will be a fun one. Utah has been on another level with Gobert tho

Porno matchup will be really fun. Thank god for the homocourt advantage. Need to take business at home before Moe Harkless returns. If they can do that, they got a good shot to advance and get emasculated by the Warriors for the third consecutive year. Going up against the brow in his first playoff appearance is terrifying

A shame Warriors draw the Spurs. I have a hard time seeing anyone team that isn't the Rockets or Cavs beating them in a 7 game series but SA is probably the best match-up possible for them. I don't think Spurs have enough firepower to make it an interesting series without leonard, even with Curry out.

West:

Rockets in 5
OKC in 6
Blazers in 7
Warriors in 6

East:

Some of my predictions:
  • OKC will beat Utah. For Utah to win, Donovan Mitchell will need to outplay RUSS. I don't see that happening.
  • Warriors will beat the Rockets in the WCF
  • The Cavs lack of defense will be their undoing and the Toronto Raptors will show that their #1 seed was no fluke and will win the ECF.
  • Warriors over Raptors.

I know what it looks like, but this year I think the Raptors are for real.

(watch them get eliminated in the first round)

Houston got boned by their bracket. Twolves are a fake 8 seed and Butler will make life difficult for Harden. Then they play either Utah or OKC, so possibly the two best players to put on Harden in the western conference in back to back series.

Houston in 6
Warriors in 6
Portland in 7
