WBL Season Wars -- Peder Strikes Back

I thought Kidwell was a great signing. I'm kinda kicking myself for not signing him myself, I was on the fence. He could have pushed Kodde to the pen.

People were crapping on my Goodwin/Sanchez deal but both had stellar first halves.

Yeah, I really liked Mobbs too, but whoever signed him got him away from me, so I moved on to Antoinsson

Sucking off Lawn Guy Land hobos.
It's a sad day today. I just designated OBKE for assignment to Dockside Dolls in Winston-Salem. Money wasted, sure, but lessons learned.

Can we replace @Bdub yet?

Tapley has been sitting in limbo (DL) all season. He was healthy back in May, and yet we're in August and he's jut chilling at home waiting for the call to come back to the team.

Free Tapley.

Lots of people need to be freed in this league right now.

The most important thing is to #SaveFunk though.

If you look at it this way, if the guy has to go on waivers and gets claimed. You can tank even easier.

I think a lottery has some impact to deter tanking, but not enough to make it stop.

I just wish people would give me their good players instead of not playing them.

Draft lottery sounds retarded.

Why are you'll so pressed to stop tanking? And of course a former tanker is leading the charge.

There are already consequences to tanking. Buncha fucking socialists in here.

I don't mind it other than the guys rotting on the DL.

My draft lottery thing was mostly in jest.

Yours I just thought was dumb because you were in a playoff spot and had one of the best pitchers sitting on his dick in the bullpen.

Who me? I never intentionally lost games.

In leagues where tanking gets out of control (pitching position players, benching aces), people tend to get pissed off since not everyone has the stomach to go to that extreme. That leads to rules like a lottery.

One of the biggest impacts from tanking only happens if you have divisional schedule imbalance. So like if the ENE had two teams tanking hard in the UBL days it would give the competitive ENE teams a huge advantage for the wild card run. Thankfully, we're not affected by that with our big leagues.

I do think if you put every non playoff team at equal odds for a lottery. It would be the most effective way to curtail tanking.

Also, to clarify, I wasn't suggesting a lottery. The tanking worries me because I'm worried it will lead to a lottery.

Yeah but then teams like Berlin who legitimately need help get boned.

Alright, the cookies are in the oven right in time for the Friday funeral. Well done all.

Teams like Berlin could be good if their owners actually played the game. That excuse doesn't fly with me. You might legitimately languish in the basement for a few seasons and I'd understand, but any more than that and I have no sympathy.

@Rutgers Mike is a bad example but I knew Rad would fall right into my trap with that one.

He's got the most valuable trade piece in the WBL. There's plenty of Funk suitors and he could get a good haul of young prospects/draft picks as long as he wasn't trading with Lowball doh
