I've heard good things about Nashville and to an extent Carolina. I know Carolina has a tailgating atmosphere and Nashville seems to get a good crowd. I'd say the crowd in Nashville is probably more into the game than most of the people at Leafs games.

Nashville isn't going anywhere. They are well supported by the fans. Just a shit team for a few years. They were packed out when they were in the playoffs.

Yeah there was some danger a few years ago when the Blackberry guy was trying to buy the team, but now they are locally owned and aren't going anywhere unless the league contracts them.

they are having a great season and with the Titans sucking so much, they are getting more attention here than ever. Perfect timing to bring in a new coach who plays an exciting brand of hockey. Trotz is a great guy and good coach, but holy shit his teams were hard to watch at times. All the same players, except for Neal, and this team is night and day different than last year's team.

They actually added some cheaper skill guys this offseason as well as Neal.

Ribeiro, Roy and Jokinen were nice value additions this offseason too. Ribiero got cut from Arizona due to "Personal Issues" (Nose Candy and Letting the Liquor do the thinking). Jokinen is the Value Centre who can get bumped up to the 2nd line since he's decently skilled but is decent enough defensively to be a 3rd. Roy is injury prone skill player. The Predators are going to have to find guys like that if they are going to want to keep those 4 defencemen (Weber, Josi, Ellis, Jones) together. Mind you 3 of those guys are extended for quite some time so they can keep fleshing out those forwards while extending Jones.

Yeah Trotz's system was defence first and defence 2nd. Which is good because they ended up developing a great group of Defencemen. It'll win you games but man is it boring.

I always have had a soft spot for Nashville. Ever since Pekka Rinne owned the Canucks. Shea Weber also has an amazing Beard.

He is a werewolf I think. The best was when he just beat the shit out of Kesler and Kesler kept trying to fall down and Weber picked him back up.

I hope San Jose keeps sucking. Would love to see the Preds make a run at Joe Thornton. They are a frontline center away from being serious Cup contenders.

Nice win for the Preds tonight. That's 3/4 against the Blues. Ribeiro and Forsberg continue to shine. I don't think Forsberg would even be in the NHL if Trotz was still coaching. He'd prolly have him buried in Milwaukee.

New Year's Eve is Canada vs USA in the World Junior's. Eichel vs McDavid. Should be fun to watch.

Why is the stadium not shooting off fireworks for home team goals? Toledos minor league team did that for their outdoor game. Not even a goal horn?
