His move should be significantly farther east. Probably the fourth best US keeper right now (Howard, Guzan, Rimando).

I'd agree, but until he gets some more time with the USMNT, he'll have work permit difficulties in the UK, though he could move to the Netherlands or somewhere with more ease.

The first one would've been better if it wasn't a huge sea of navy blue, you can barely see the text from afar. I do like the outline of it, but second one is definitely better.

Since the Yankees are involved, will there be renditions of "God Bless America" at halftime?

Also, this badge would work:

I prefer the second one. Also as an Orioles/MCFC fan rooting for NYCFC will feel a bit weird. I'll probably get over it once I some of MCFC's players on loan there.

Orlando City announces their first Homegrown signing: defender Tommy Redding, captain of the US U-17 team.

Also, I wasn't familiar with that website, but it pays a lot of attention to our youth players. It tracks young American players including those abroad if you click on the years at the top, so you can see younger players in the European academies and such.

Yeah, those teams are really doing well in Liga MX. Los Angeles over Tijuana would be the best bet. They'll need an away goal though.

Defoe making mls defenders look like...MLS defenders

FFS. 13-8 shot advantage, 15-25 foul advantage and a 68-32 percent possession advantage. Yet Sounders lose. I guess Clint scoring is consolation.

Let's see, which team loves signing players from Serie A?

Putting my money on Montreal.

Also one of the many players dubbed "the next Maradona". He's had a better career than most of the others.

Revs have looked hella bad in their two games. No Rowe has really hurt. Bunbury has looked decent.

They've broken out the orange ball in Colorado. Trying to remember the last time I saw it in an MLS game.

Montreal-Seattle postponed 24 hours because of snow on the roof of Stade Olympique.

Still think a Fall-to-Spring season is a good idea?

How do they do it in Sweden or Russia? I know Norway has an adjusted schedule, but it's not like we're the only country with snow.

Russia just restarted their season a couple of weeks ago. If we did a Fall-Spring we'd have to cut a lot of the games because Russia only plays 30 per year.

So I've watched a lot of MLS this season, and usually after watching EPL. There is a marked difference and I'm struggling to quantify it. Other than a lot more route 1, the passes and shots don't seem to have nearly the velocity. I saw Sturridge shoot one into the side netting at like 75mph, while nobody outside of a few guys in MLS seem to be able to accomplish this. Can y'all help me out so I can explain to other plebs what the major difference is?

Sweden, Norway and Ireland play spring-to-fall with a break when a major tournament occurs. Russia switched from that schedule a couple years ago. From what I hear, most fans are not happy with that switch.

Just wondering if FIFA has raised this concern with China and Japan like they have with MLS.

Passing, both in accuracy and length, and movement off the ball. You don't see as much switching of play in MLS nor defense splitting through balls.

A couple of coworkers and I decided that we're going to go to as many OKC Energy games as possible (LOL USL Pro) and just get rowdy as fuck.

Ghost, you amped for the Futility Bowl tomorrow?

I'll fell asleep after DC took the lead and woke up in injury time.

Along with Montreal, these three teams are the worst in the East.

San Jose scored one of the more comical own goals I've seen in a while last night.

This Portland-Seattle game is off to a great start.

Nagbe looking really good. Timbers(particularly Nagbe) are going after Yedlin.

2-1 Timbers, 20 or so minutes in.

Maybe it's a New England thing. Had another bizarre one involving them yesterday.

D.C. broke their 15 game winless streak. Last league win before yesterday was last August. Even then, they didn't play particularly well. Had two shots on target the entire game, both right at the keeper(Rolfe's went in but should have been saved)

Johnson isn't exactly filling me with confidence.
