Yup. My family has four total now. Nobody wants to say it, but the sellout streak is probably in serious jeopardy. Two of our seats dropped from a $750/seat mandatory donation to $150/seat this year. At one point, they still had season tickets for sale this season with no donation required. Upping the capacity to 90,000 was probably a bit too much. Once some of the old fogies start dying off, they're gonna have a hard time filling the place.

On the plus side...we are now saving $1,200/year. lol

Michigan is somewhat similar. I'm pretty sure their sell out streak has been over, but they are having trouble selling season tickets. They've had probably about a dozen season ticket sales, which has never happened.

Yeah, it seems like the industry pushed and pushed until it found just how much demand they could get. Well they found out. Lots of places are struggling with ticket sales with the sky high prices. What do they expect asking $750+ for a seat. I got some BYU tickets for a few years, since they are close enough to drive to. I bought the cheap seats, $100 for 6-7 games. The prices started going up of course, and then they start calling for donations too. Are you kidding? I just bought cheap seats and you are hitting me up for more? Have you no shame. How about supporting me a little, by keeping the cheat seats cheap, and jack up the prices of those sky boxes some more instead. What's that, you will gladly discard me by pricing me out of the market when others can pay more. Way to develop long term fan loyalty. Looks like I will be spending my money and Saturdays elsewhere.

We all have our vices.

Pretty much...It's hard for people who haven't lived in Nebraska to understand, but most of us in the state feel it's our duty to support the team week in and week out, no matter what. I will always go to the games...even when we suck, it's still fun to tailgate and take in the atmosphere. At least my job can support this vice...haha.

It's still a nice way for family and friends to get together a few times a year imo. I always enjoyed knowing that when I came home on leave I could go to tallahassee and see 20 - 25 family and friends at the game, even though we were mediocre during my years in the navy.

I'd rather set it on fire

speaking of fire, our bench might be a dumpster fire with all the injuries

40 minutes till Gameday bitches...

We should be playing against Carl Pelini tomorrow, but he smoked some ganja, or watched people smoke some ganga, or something last year...In any event, Bo says drugs are bad...mmmkay, and we play a Florida Atlantic team that nobody knows anything about.

I predict a sloppy game tomorrow, but Nebraska wins 42-17.

Well that game escalated quickly. 784 total yards?

Just hope Thor aka Gregory is ok. Otherwise Marcus Newby better grow up fast.

What excuse will they make to keep Pelini this year?

This years scapegoat will be Tim Beck I think.

I watched the entire game and honestly his play calling made almost zero sense. If you know your opponent is mostly going to focus on Amer Abdulla you NEED to factor that in. Tim Beck doesn't know how to adjust a game plan. It felt like I was watching the Minnesota game all over again from last year.

Red alert tomorrow in Fresno. After the near McNeese collapse, hopefully beck learned to give Ameer 999 touches.

Abdullah got 17 carries for 54 yards. Not exactly a sterling performance and I don't think you want to load him up with carries against the likes of Mcneese.

Now little Timmy Armstrong Jr. Brought the ground n pound with 11 for 100+. More read option plz.

P. Sure the game was the usual case of a Pelini team not coming to play.
They have struggled before with 1-AA teams before...SDSU comes to mind.
Season is right on track for a 9-4 record

Anybody know if CBS college sports is available to stream online or do I have to call up Cox and subscribe to this channel for one night to watch the game?

Someone will probably put up a stream on frontrowsports or whatever its called, but they don't have a WatchESPN, BTN2Go, etc. type set up.

Going with the all whites for units tonight. We are ofer going all whites. I remember the first time we did when I was alive in 87 v. Oklahoma. Then 91 versus Georgia Tech. *shakes head

Nebraska wins by 500 against a terrible Fresno team
Move along nothing to see here.

"Big" game against Miami next week

Offensive line is hot garbage. We'll squeek past Miami, blow out Illinois and everything will be okay before we get rail roaded in East Lansing.

The OL has been a problem for a decade. What the hell Nebraska. I know you can't get the same recruits you used to, but even back in the heyday you had a lot of regional OL talent. Can't you even find a few lineman in the midwest and coach them up like in the "good ol' days"? Look at Wisconsin, they had a dominate OL for a decade (right up to last year), and they did it with mostly local guys. Sure Wiscy has more cheese brats and beer than anywhere in the nation, and it helps, but surely the midwest has a few cornfed mammoths you can throw in there?

The sad thing is our offensive line recruiting has been pretty good in Bo's tenure if you look at stars. Getting the talent in the door isn't the problem. Developing it is. I still think barnstache is the problem.

Nobody seems to like Cotton. I do think the OL is a weakness, but I don't know how bad they really are. This defense might actually be decent if Randy Gregory stays healthy. What I find most frustrating is that we just can't seem to ever win the turnover ratio.

I said this about the UCLA game last year, and I'll say it for the Miami game this year...it's gonna dictate the rest of the season. If we win, I think Bo might finally get the 4 loss monkey off his back. If we lose, I think it's more of the same old crap for this year.

It's hard to assess the OL now to 10 years ago and further back, since the game is just different 10 years later, but they sure seem to be underachieving now. I would have to look to be sure, but it seems like Nebraska back in the "pipeline" days had about the same number of midwestern guys as the line does today. They were dominant back then though, and I don't see them opening the same kind of holes now. Maybe the recruiting is better on paper now, like Joshua says, but either way it's not translating. The OL may not be bad, but they are not dominant like they used to be, and I don't know why. Again, it's not like Nebraska had tons of OL talent from outside the midwest back in the heyday, so why can't we be better than we are now? I gave an example of Wiscy doing it with their local guys during the same time frame that Nebraska has been underachieving. Maybe we need to recruit Wisconsin a little more!

Bo's defenses don't generate a lot of TOs, IIRC. His scheme is more about not giving up a big play and letting the offense kill their own drives. They are not aggressive TO creating defenses. That is not necessarily bad either, but it makes it hard to win the TO margin every game. Of course if the offense was better it would help a lot too. I don't remember the numbers, but I don't think Nebraska had great TO margins under Osborne either. I think they had a lot of TOs with the option runs, but the defense was lights out anyway of course.
