Looked like his foot was definitely up before that puck cleared the blue line too, and they still kept the call.

So glad I didn't spend a dime of my money on watching this team this year. Bunch of fucking dopes. They're really going to regret not pawning Ovie and Backstrom off during their prime and rebuilding when they had draft assets.

Nothing will make me happier than the Caps and Nats going back to shit once their aging underachieving-overpaid choke artists are gone. Ted Leonsis waited way too long to fire GMGM and the whole “how many coaches can we go through in a decade” approach has netted them shit. Enjoy all of the President’s Trophies and being owned by the Penguins.

Yeah probably was up. Or at least a group of non-biased people could probably argue both for and against to infinity. As is the case with too many offside calls. Also no advantaged is gained with the foot up or down. So who the fuck cares. But now that we have replay everyone is trying to count pixels and decide if they can see a shadow. It's madness. Keep the call on the ice. Granted sometimes a lineman blows it big time. Maybe Toronto can overturn if a guy is grossly in the zone. But I'd settle for completely doing away with offside reviews. Again I don't care about either team in this case. In fact I'd probably like to see the Caps not blow it for once. I just hate offside reviews.

There are some truly bad calls via replay in football. But generally I feel like the spirit of replay in football is unless it's obvious, call stands. In hockey it feels like can we find a shadow of doubt the call on the ice should be overturned. Don't @me with fucked football calls. I'm just saying that in hockey it feels like the replay is too often trying to convince itself that the call on the ice is wrong and not the other way.

There really needs to be a time limit on how long the officials can look at replays. Just because we now have the technology to break things down to the pixel doesn't mean that we should. If it isn't clear cut and/or the official can't get a different angle or perspective to overturn the call within 30 seconds, call stands and the game continues. Fuck long replay delays.

Offside reviews are the worst. Unless they change the standard to "obvious within 20 seconds", I'm not sure it's worth keeping.

This. "Stare at it for 3 minutes and still probably get it wrong because Refs not wanting to defer to pixels" is the dumbest possible resolution.

Rinne has been average to below average this whole series so far. Still has made a few good saves but not consistent or covering for shit play of the rest of the team. Preds in general getting worked. Avs are so much more desperate.

Preds have been playing like shit all series. They are lucky to be up 2-1. Sad to watch your team get out efforted. Not used to that.

Eh, I think it just looks that way because the Avs are young and fast, and they fed off the energy of a home arena last night. Preds have out shot them in 2 of 3 games, and have out corsi-ed them (shots + blocks + misses) in all 3 games. Nashville, outside of game 3, is also getting shots in better areas than the Avs.

I would be pretty shocked to see the Avs win the series. They might push it to 6 games, but the Predators are the better team.

Look at that, an offisde review where the player was offside and they actually called it. It still took too long.
