Not a PO, an opt out. It's new. Like they can opt out 3 years into a deal. The problem is with you then adding two TOs on a 5 year deal and they overlap with the opt out after year 3.

They built it to ideally be like a 6 year deal and after 3 they can opt out, but wooly broke it and tried to stack them allowing opt outs during their last year or second to last year.

It started offering these after it was losing out to lower AAV guaranteed contracts. It thought it had a way to game the system... to get a team option without having to pay the AAV premium for said option. Now it is sad because its attempts to break the game AI didn't work like it expected.

I removed wooly's opt outs, but please dont stack them anymore. From this point forward if you do, then you deal with how the game processes it which is just a PO and it cancels your TO.

Not a player option, a player Opt Out. You can offer an opt out and TO on the same year, but sometimes it causes problems.

I was posting about it as a PSA, so people could avoid these problems.

Random discussion and I think I know where the league stands but...

Do people think giving a rookie 30-40 games at the end of one year help them with when they become a full-time starter? Do they gain experience and does it matter in the game? Is it worth losing them a year early to FA?

Personally, I think it exists and it's worth starting their clock as long as they aren't super 2.

As a side note, if you don't know where to get the updated rosters they're in the add-ons central, then you have to start a new game with the templates. Still produces some weird sim results, Cubs are in 4th place and the Reds are in 1st??? Also I don't know what to do with Jose

It should be governed by the population of the metropolitan area you choose to occupy! Nice job trading the 15 Million people in the bay area in 2061 for <500k in 2061 Halifax. What an idiot.


I picked Minot North Dakota because of two reasons.

1) The long disbanded nuclear missile facilities have been converted into beautiful squirrel and turkey sanctuaries.
2) The 2061 population of 10,000 people (No more Minot AFB after all) means our tiny stadium with 4 rows of bleachers and a hill to sit on is a very intimate setting where everyone can feel a personal connection to Douglass.

I'm having an issue where one of my bullpen pitchers simply will not pitch.

He pitched all of 9 innings last season and is up to 1 inning this season. I only carry 12 arms and have tried messing with usage and secondary role (for this sim I have everyone at Normal usage except Lando who is at use more often). Has this happened to anyone else?

See if you have him on a bizarre low pitch count or set to be bench X number of days. I had one of my bums during the race for 1-1 days set at 5 pitches and another benched for 200 days instead of 20. Just a thought.

I just did that for the upcoming sim. I've never had him set to high leverage before.

I've been thinking about that. He's been my setup man until the last sim (he's was money last year, but he has begun his descent), but I'm thinking that's probably the best option at this point.

The Sega sports games multiplayer is different. Everyone has to be on so unless we would have a set day, it's tough to run long term. Unless it's changed in the last few years since we tried.

The game Travis and I did in this video would work better I think. Just have the cutoff be first Transfer Window.



I'm kind of bummed Motorsport Manager doesn't have a Multiplayer aspect. That would be a fun hangover Sunday sim

J/K, like Osick mentioned the best way to play multiplayer is to just do an offline "champions league" where you export ur teams for vs play against each other. So we each just do our singleplayer games and export our teams for competition once or twice a year. This means we don't even need to play at the same rate either. Whenever you get to winter transfer break 2017 you export your team. Then I play my winter transfer 2017 team against urs. Basically, I'll export my team after every transfer window and anyone who is interested can do the same and we can play those teams against eachother.
