I say QBA 10 and adjust pass rush etc... I will try QBA 5. It's frustrating enough against the cpu but doable. Against users especially good users it becomes down right painful!
Everyone keeps mentioning realistic stats... there is nothing realistic about this game! It's a VIDEO game... no no one completes 85% of their passes each week. No one rushes for 300 & 400 yds each week either!
I'm done discussing it!
It is what it is...
Legend, trust me, if it was as easy as just tweaking a few other things around QBA 10, I think we would all be perfectly happy with that. Unfortunately, @
NavyHog and I have spent A LOT of time on NCAA trying to generate a consistent user v user pass rush in OD play and it just isn't possible. If we could, QBA 10 would be fine because even though the passes may be right on the money at least there would be a threat of a 3-4 man pass rush. There just isn't a way to do it so the end result is people get all day in the pocket to throw bullets that are always on the money.
If Bruin and the others agreed, we could try using the rest of this season as a test and maybe lower the pass block slider from 40 to 30 just to see what happens. Maybe we can generate some pass rush to make QBA 10 a bit more balanced. I wouldn't get any hopes up though because 30 is where it was in previous ODs and we had no success. If you go much lower than that and you get the other end of the spectrum where there are 5-6 sacks a game. Same with pass coverage, the moment you go up even 1 or 2 notches it is all route mirroring. Like everything in NCAA, it is one extreme or the other.
That said, I think the run sliders as they are now are very fair. It is easy to run when you have numbers, as it should be, but it is very difficult to run against blitzes and loaded boxes. I wouldn't mind seeing user tackling go up a bit to help run defense a little but I have thought the run sliders were very fair. Keep in mind that QBA 5 also indirectly improves run defense because you don't have to commit 7-8 defenders to stopping the pass as often as you do on 10. I ran all over Ram to the tune of like 8 yards per carry because he had to man up on my 4 WR just to get even close to defending the pass (and I still threw 18-21). When I faced JAR earlier in the season still running power run/power option, he shut me down because I was completely one dimensional, I ran for 107 yards and like 4 yards per carry. These run sliders are very nice.
