Lalas did a great job at halftime explaining how playing him and not Jones works out in certain roles. I can't think of anyone else in the US pool who can organize a midfield like Beckerman. I don't know if you can play him vs. top teams though. We might not have much of a midfield to organize and you'd want Jones to destroy attacks but in certain matches he does things that remind me a lot of Claudio Reyna. He's not as good but he brings similar strengths. We could've used Beckerman for years playing against shitty CONCACAF teams…
