I mean Roy just really gets it. @goblue96 said it, there is no reason to worry about losing by 12 goals if you pull the goalie. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. I also read a grantland article about the playoffs where it said the Avs were aware they shouldn't be near as good as they are according to the nerdish stat heads and they don't give a shit. My kind of team. I think Roy is my spirit corch. That was a really satisfying game to watch, would've been fun to be at.

I think my favorite thing about hockey is how they focus on the goalie who gave up the OT goal exiting the ice. He's just so dejected and everybody is pattin him on the back like "it's cool you let that one in man".

He's been doing that all year, and it's worked surprisingly well. During the season, they pulled the goalie with more than 2 minutes left and scored 4 times. I can remember only one time where they pulled the goalie that early and the other team scored, but I'm sure it happened more often.
