I went to a few Virginia baseball games this year, but holy shit, college baseball can be ridiculously boring sometimes. It doesn't help they win each game 3-1 I suppose. I'm definitely looking forward to tourney time though, esp since I can catch these games at work on espn3.

dead bats + ball parks made for the old bats is def boring lol

CWS is going to be awful again this year in that huge park

9am. Muck Fichigan. Not in the house Pete Ricketts built on the river.

Sucks for MSU/Indiana, if MSU wins they play again....at 10pm tonight. Our time. Haha!

Good win for fsu vs Uva last night. Meaningless other Than rpi but a good confidence booster for our group.

Looks like fsu will be a 4 or 5 national seed.

Well that was fun. We had runners in every inning but the ninth. That rain delay killed any momentum we had built.

Hopefully we did enough to maybe host an opening round.

notes from another website on tournament

Miami is in the tournament for the 42nd consecutive year, the longest streak going in baseball which extends their own record. FSU is second all-time with their 37th consecutive appearance. The next closest streak is Cal St Fullerton with 23.

Maryland is making their first tournament appearance since 1971 as they head to the Columbia Regional.

Indiana making the top 8 seed marks a first for a Big10 institution.

The SEC puts a tournament-high and single tournament record 10 teams in the field, while the ACC is next with 7 teams and the Big12 & Pac 12 each placed 5 teams.

Making the tournament for the first time is Kennesaw St and Sacramento St.

32 of the 64 teams were in the field last year.

The champions from the last 2 years, UCLA (2013) and Arizona (2012) failed to make the tournament as both finished the season with losing records.

I am also very glad FSU avoided being paired with the South Carolina regional or Miami Regional. I feel fsu has an easier path to CWS than UF which makes me happy.

Can't wait for next friday

I think GT can beat Washington. Am nervous about Ole Miss though.

Pretty damn good UW team imo. I think GT has the young talent to win though, they have been playing night and day baseball as compared to beginning of year.

They have a bad schedule but were also 2-1 vs Bama and 1-0 vs LSU. I think those are the only good teams they played tho.0

Hopefully uf joins us haha.

Our worst hitting team in forever. Maybe one of the mid 2000 squads.

Tough to watch at times and this performance is a good summary of it.

Can anyone smarter at baseball than me please explain why mike martin. Would pinch run for the #4 hitter who led off the bottom of the ninth with a single down 6-0????

As it turns out we would score 5 runs as lose 6-5 as we batted around and had to pinch hit a kid batting g
.167 for the pinch runner who came in for our cleanup hitter with runners on the corners.

:(

It seems like a retarded senile move to me
But I've never claimed to been an expert like brazzou.(bork)

Gg bama. Rooting for u for rest of regional.

Taylor Shields pitched well early on for J'ville State. Think their day is done though. Still a hard fought game by both teams.

doh

THANK YOU Dermott McHeshi
The turf fields some of these teams use are a joke. Turf mounds? Are we in little league?
