as if getting pwned by Saban the last few years wasnt enough reason...they finally decided to part ways with him
however, the list of potential candidates according to the local news is kinda strange
I mean, i know its a pipe dream that LSU will hire a black coach, but i think Kevin Sumlin would do awesome here

What is the list of coaches being discussed? I read the ESPN article and it sounds like the admin wants to move towards a spread type of offense. Which should preclude Jimbo Fisher. Fisher will bring the same offense Les ran but with better QB play.
The last 2 BB coaches have been black.
Sumlin has a good thing going with A&M, with just as good resources and area to recruit from as LSU. I don't know the amount, but I'm sure he has a huge buyout too.

nah, i think he's a good coach from what i've seen from his stints at Houston and Texas A&M
but the fact that he's black, and to my knowledge, LSU has never had a black coach, i think it would be cool if they got him.
You need to pay more attention to him, then.
A&M is a fucking mess. That place is a damn zoo with the number of arrests and stupidity. His best offenses at Houston and A&M have been because he had Holgerson and Kingsbury as OC (specially Kingsbury as he was 23-2 with him as OC and 25-14 since before this year). He can recruit and thats about it. The only reason A&M hasnt shitcanned him is because of his buyout.

Dude...it's the SEC. Do you really think anyone would care about that sort of thing if LSU started winning again?
i think they will care if it ends up messing up scholarships they can give out
i mean, who knows exactly how the NCAA functions at this point when it comes to handling down punishments?
i dont trust them tbh, but at the end of the day, I dont think that puts the program in the best light
to my knowledge, Mathieu was Miles' only black eye on the program but by the time everything came out, he was on like his 5th chance. Add Jefferson in too for the knucklehead bar fight.

He needs to get to Kirk Ferentz level of mediocrity before he gets a buyout like that. That wont happen until Jackson leaves for the NFL after next year.

If they started winning 11+ games a year, then sure. You can get away that shit. Sumlin totally got away with it because they had a competent OC and then Manziel to carry them through.
You cant get away with it going 25-14 in 3 seasons since. Hes not a good coach and that program is an absolute shitshow. Id prefer LSU take him and let A&M hire someone competent.
