I used to watch back in middle school and high school, back in the heyday when the Rock was around, Stone Cold was still relevant, Mankind, those guys. Have to say I've watched a bit the past few weeks, and the writing is just not good, and I didn't think the matches were nearly as good either. There just wasn't much going on that made me want to watch a full hour.

Yeah, it's been really bad lately. The product is over expanded tho. 3 hours Raws are really tough to get through.

I had the idea to make the first hour of Raw a showcase for some of the talent on NXT. It helps with Raw being overextended, gets the fans a good look at wrestlers they wouldn't have seen if they don't have the WWE Network and also serves as a selling point for the Network.

NXT is the one show I consistently watch. The wrestling is better, the crowd is better and the angles are better. I just saw a vignette on Raw that The Ascension is getting called up to Raw. I'm hoping that it'll shake up the tag team division, but it won't.

@Rutgers Mike I decided not to get the NJPW network, because there is just so much japanese wrestling on youtube. I watched the 94 tokyo dome show Battlefield the other night. Have you subscribe d?
English Dubs are going to be on HDNET or whatever it's called now soon. I'll probably torrent it the odd time. I've started to watch NXT when I remember.

Nah. I barely watch the WWE Network and I don't have the language issue to get past with that.
I may order the Tokyo Dome Show on PPV tho, because it's being broadcast by Jim Ross and Matt Striker in english.

Yeah. The stuff they are showing isn't going to be new stuff tho. I think they have 13 weeks scheduled and they are gonna show stuff from the G1 in 2013.

Watched the 1988 Royal Rumble. The most surprising thing was how boring the Steamboat- Rude match was. Rude has some impressive Roid Backne.
The Rumble itself was meh. I fast forwarded some of it. Duggan wins which now is surprising but looking at that crew of entrants, there's not too many likely candidates. One Man Gang feuded with Hogan before. Warrior was still Intercontinental level. Everybody else was pretty meh.

As stated above, I mainly follow rasslin through my headphones these days. I have been listening to Colts podcast, which I found out about when Larry posted the CM Punk tell all. Colt talks about Chikara Pro, which books him now and then. The name of the promotion sounded interesting so I googled it. What the fuck is this shit, some kinda pokemon naruto infused lucha? Chikarapro.com looks like a hachiko dynasty. Now im familiar with Japanese wrestling (I was bootlegging VHSes of the Super J Cups when most of yall were marking our for Goldberg) but this looks insane. And they have shows in America?

Anyway, if you want a good wrestling podcast, Review-A-Wai and Review-A-Raw are really good free ones. Review-A-Wai is a review of a classic wrestling show, or sometimes a wrestling related TV show, or something.
I watch rasslin' twice a year: Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. My buddy hosts a party for each of those.
Someone give me the rundown of matches (pre-Rumble) for this Sunday. It always turns into a betting game (shots, not cash). And since I don't know dick anymore about WWE, I typically end up losing.....a lot. Which means drunk TMang long before the rumble even starts. So, who's fighting.....and more importantly, who should I bet on?

Title match - Brock Lesnar (c) vs Seth Rollins vs John Cena - Lesnar's contract is up right after Wrestlemania, and he will probably go back to UFC or even Belator. I'd bet on him losing. Could see Cena pinning Rollins, then Rollins cashes in his money in the bank briefcase right after to leave with the title.
Tag Titles - The Usos (c) vs The Miz and Damien Mizdow - They have been teasing dissension between Miz and his stunt double, so I think Usos will win.
Paige and Natalya vs the Bella twins - This could go either way. Just pick whichever pair you think is hotter.
New Age outlaws vs The Ascension - The Ascension have been booked like geeks since they came up from NXT. I expect them to be future endeavored soon.
Preshow match - The New Day vs Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adam Rose - Cesaro, Kidd and Rose should win
Rumble Match - Roman Reigns is the favorite. Daniel Bryan could win it, and I'd say Rusev is the darkhorse. I don't really see anyone else that would win it.
