The mongoloid portion of any fanbase in the country will delude themselves into just about anything if it means protecting their precious footbaw. We see it time and time again with how they view sexual assault/rape by their players. Certainly, PSU is the most deluded of the bunch, because of the Paterno worship. But it's not just a PSU problem, that's for sure.

I was more talking about administration, I'm well aware that fanbases will defend anything, it's happened at Minnesota with the football and basketball scandals. It just seems that there have been several administrators at Penn State over the years that have had no problem defending it, which is something I haven't seen at other schools, save Baylor.

Many of those people you are referencing (administrators) have simply been members of the Board of Trustees. Which, as I'm sure you know, is made up of mostly big dollar donors (and usually huge athletic boosters) who are typically fans. I understand why it is big news when it happens at PSU. But other schools would have the same exact problem with their BoT and high dollar donors to their athletic programs if something similar happened. Baylor is a great example, but it isn't the only one.

If that shit happened at my school, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing their gear or going to games.

Now, academic fraud or whatever, who cares? We all know why these guys that can't spell their own name are at the school. But child rape? And coverups by the coaches & administration? GTFO.

While PSU has certainly been a trainwreck when it comes to leadership, this one feels much more like the frat/sorority scene/hazing is much more to blame. There's been 16 of these involving a campus fraternity/sorority just since 2010.

It's a pathetic practice that needs to go away.
