Phillies fans want Girardi fired because of his below .500 record since taking over as manager while doing nothing to attempt to turn things around.

Some of this falls on the GM’s head too for putting together another hole filled roster that doesn’t want to promote anyone from the minors.

You guys ran Kapler out of town and he's been just fine. It's not a management problem, you have assembled a bad roster.

How is it not a management problem? It’s not like these players magically appeared on the roster. Somebody had to sign them.

I’ll grant you if you say it’s an ownership problem because Middleton is a fuckwit who doesn’t know how to run a business unless it’s into the ground. My mom worked for his tobacco business before he cashed out when Phillip Morris offered him billions. He tried running a chain of hotels which failed after about five years. He has no idea how to run a business and it shows with the Phillies.

Below .500 in 2+ sesaons as manager and in the last year of his contract. What the fuck do you want them do? Give him an extension because DUMBROWSKI keeps putting together shitty rosters for him to manage.

DUMBROWSKI is under contract until 2024. Middleton isn't going to eat $10M of salary to buy DUMBROWSKI out now. DUMBROWSKI isn't going to trade all of the overpriced/flawed players he signed. Girardi's contract expires at the end of the season. Somebody has to take the fall for the team underperforming and it's always the person who is the easiest/least expensive to get rid of. In this case, it's Girardi.

Just like Kapler took the fall and ran off to win 107 games for a team with a good front office.

No one HAS to take a fall. It's just a distraction tactic. And Phillies phans always phall for it for some reason and feel like the manager was actually a problem.

I lol at the "NOT DOING ANYTHING" line also, as if some new manager is going to come and revolutionize the Phillies defense with a more energetic round of IF/OF and drills. Back to the PHUNDAMENTALS
