I absolutely love this news. Another whole year of hype and anticipation is going to make it that much funnier when they slap a shit right in to the faces of those waiting for it.

But the game will be completely broken and more or less unplayable whenever they decide to bring it out. Dynasty mode will take them 5 cycles to get the bugs out if you're lucky...

Linebackers haven't jumped in Madden since Shazier 99 ovr MUT Master was too OP. So EA made linebackers flat-footed as fuck to "balance them." Everyone now uses safeties as Sub LBs (this is actually a position in the Special Teams depth chart and refers to your linebackers in nickel, dollar, etc). In other words, LBs have lost all value unless you want to stay in 34 or 43 all game. You want to give ur NIL money to 6'3 safeties who hit like a mack truck (i.e. a LB).

Also, most linebackers are safety sized these days to be able to defend against the AIR RAID. We are reaching the end times of HARD NOSED

I thought it was delayed until 2023, totally forgot it's actually next year lol. CFB will be all the way dead and the Nu Minor Leagues (@Southpaw) announced before they get this thing out.
