I would not disagree with either of those predictions. You think Bud Foster gets the VT job, or does he get screwed despite his loyalty to the program?

not sure. They may want to go in a "new direction," so that would leave him out. I'm not sure how well he'd be as a HC, but I'd like to see him get a chance.

I don't think Mullen is warm anymore. If he is, Miss St is idiotic.
They may finally get a little over the hump this season. He has a QB capable of running up the middle and can throw well enough. The problem is playing in a tough division and wins won't come easily.

Well, their non-conference schedule is a joke. So I think they would win 9-10 games. 4 non-conference wins, wins over Arkansas; Kentucky; Vandy; TAMU; and maybe wins over Auburn at home and Ole Miss on the road. They get LSU and Alabama on the road so they are more than likely screwed there.

Whittingham is the most inexplicably "respected" corch out there. He will win some mid-season game against a 7-1 Pac-12 team with a misleading record and people will be fawning over how Utah is ready to take it to the "next level" in the conference, with Whittingham having had a transition-to-Pac-three-year-plan, which is finally paying dividends. They'll finish 7-5 or 8-4 and he'll get another year.

My avatar is the bomb! Pee-wee's the best!

With all the coaching changes and a recruiting class I haven't heard any Ute fans even talking about, I think we'll see more of the same out of Coach Whit. He at least belongs on Warming Up. If he shows improvement this season, remove him then.

Paul Rhodes shouldn't be on there at all.

He's had one winning season there and just dropped from 6-7 (bowl loss) to 3-9. I think it's fair after four years straight of no winning seasons that he's on the watch list. Now he may well turn around with the staff he's brought in such as Mangino at OC, but I can't see how he's not at least on the watch list.

Rhodes is awesome. Does Iowa State think they have the talent to do better? I think that's generally a problem. People expect to win more games than they should. How is it that one of the greatest teams/programs in the country the last five years or so routinely fails to go undefeated, yet people at schools like Oklahoma State want changes at coaching positions because of a perceived under-performance?

Also, I don't think Weis should be feeling heat. Didn't Kansas win three games? They got their first conference win in years this past season. They've also been competitive in more games than they have been recently.

Unless they go winless in conference play, and drop a game to an FCS team while at it, he's fine. Unless of course there are some PR problems or problems within the AD.

Well, Iowa State fired Dan McCarney for doing better than Rhoads has. So until we seem him stick around longer with these seasons, I think he's on the list.

Never thought I'd get to the day where I was clamoring for the return of DickRod.

Sorry ahead of time BearDown for when we get our asshole-but-at-least-he-won-here corch back from you guys.

he's getting too much money for the results. That's for sure. I thought he'd do well there and was actually kind of excited to see SMU get back to some winning.

I think the thing that bothers the SMU fans the most is the laziness in recruiting. I didn't realize they gave him an extension this offseason.

June spent the entire month of January in Hawaii. SMU had already finished its recruiting class, but that's just unreal laziness. He is just cashing in at SMU with little effort and mediocre results while taking vacations and pitching a movie biopic.

I knew I had read that about Jones going on vacation before signing day, but couldn't find it. I wouldn't be happy if I was an SMU fan.

THANK YOU Dermott McHeshi
Still some assistant openings at big schools or they've just been filled… is this normal? Seems a bit late but I've followed assistant coaches moving a lot closer this year than previous ones.

I don't think Rhoads or Weis are fit to be on there. Iowa State is probably better than they've ever been since Rhoads got there and although 3-9 last season they were one of the best bad teams I've ever saw. ISU was pretty close to winning more games than that last year too.

As for Weis's case, Kansas is bad, really bad. He's going to need some time to get them winning and they saw progress last season.

Now let's move forward to Dana Holgorsen, as I sad how bad Kansas is bad, WVU is worse. It's a sad sad time here in Morgantown. Yeah there's a big change moving up to play big boy football and I'll play the WVU having absolutely no depth at all and the youth cards, but still, there's no excuse in us going 4-8. The team was close in some games last year and I think youth and depth did have some to do with us choking games away, so I'm willing to give Dana a pass for a few more years. Recruiting is going great and we're getting depth built up. I want to believe Dana can right the ship with his players and get WVU to winning in this conference. 2015 is it for Dana though in my opinion. If there isn't W's by then, he's out.
