Yes, it's me again. I gave up on that last one pretty quickly, mostly because I got bored with the offense and I hate having to enter stats after every game because I'm lazy.

Anyway, I'm bringing this back and ran through a season to make sure I'll stick with it. I'll put game results, the schedule, preseason and postseason top 25, BCS bowl winners, and the occasional game result up on Avid, but the stats and the majority of the recaps will go here. Also, whenever I start at a new program, I'll do a brief recap of the program's history so we can see what kind of program it's been and where's it been in NCAA 14 up to that point. I started at OC with Akron and I've also created three other "user" coaches, coaches that I do the recruiting for but don't really play any of their games so I can have consistent and tougher challengers outside the CPU. They are:

Roland Feldspar, DC, UVA (UNM/3-4 Multiple)
Darryl Monrose, HC, SMU (CSU/4-2-5) (Might make this guy a custom Patriots type book)
    Tyler Borowitz, OC, CU (Baylor/3-3-5)

I'm running a custom spread book that'll change depending upon personnel and I'll post what the formations are and main concepts I'm running whenever I change it. Using Jarodd21's Black sliders like last time.

I'm about to be out of town for a few days, so somewhat poor timing, but should be good to go after that. I'll post some other stuff shortly.

    All-time Record: 517-528-36
    Bowl Record: 2-1
    Conference Titles: 2 (2005, 2013)
    National Titles: 0
    Heisman Trophy Winners: 0

Akron first established a team in 1891, when the school was known as Buchtel University, later being renamed to the University of Akron in 1913. The nickname "Zips" comes from zippers, which comes from a history of rubber boot manufacturing in the area. In fact, the team's stadium from 1940-2008 was named the Rubber Bowl. In 2009, Akron moved into InfoCision Stadium, which seats 30,000.

Despite Akron's long history of fielding a team, they've pretty much been terrible to mediocre throughout said history. They have a sub .500 record all time and made two bowls up to the 2013 season. They have been much improved since Terry Bowden took over in 2012, though. He's taken them to two bowl games, winning one, and they even won a weak MAC East this last year. Overall, though, Akron's history is bad. It took them over a century to win their only conference title, which they won in 2005, and even that season was pretty mediocre, as the team went 7-6 overall, beat a similarly mediocre NIU team by one point for the title, and lost to a seven win Memphis squad. Only Eastern Michigan, Buffalo, and rival Kent State have a worse winning percentage than Akron in the MAC. Kent State is pretty much Akron's only rival of substance (they also have a rivalry with Youngstown State, but don't really play anymore) and the two play for the Wagon Wheel, a series that Akron leads 34-24-2 as of 2018. Akron has been in the MAC since 1987, which is also when they moved up to FBS.

As far as support goes, I imagine Akron suffers from the same issues that plague nearly every MAC team, which is being a MAC team in Big Ten country. Akron is in one of the better states for football support, but that state is also dominated by OSU and other Big Ten teams, with the leftovers being divvied up by Cincy, the other Ohio MAC teams, and probably the occasional Pitt fan. And unlike the better MAC programs like NIU or Toledo, they can't boast about conference titles, big bowl wins/appearances, or exciting offenses. They're kind of just a boring MAC team, which doesn't bode well for support in a highly competitive state.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Does it have all the CU-CSU stuff, though?

I was thinking about rotating the Pac-12 in Vegas, Phoenix, and one of the CA bowl spots too, and possibly putting the Sun Belt title in New Orleans.

Its been a while, it probably still has the decorations up in the seats and stuff, but the endzones will change to match the teams playing

    Howdy, howdy.

As you can see, I wrapped up my second season as Akron's OC with another double digit win season and MAC championship. We lost the bowl game to ULL at the end of the year, but still a good year, especially after I lost the vast majority of my skill positions. Following the season, I took the OC job at Cincy, where Terry Bowden was the head corch last year. However, he retired, so Darrell Dickey is the new HC. It looks like Avid's down, but I'll post the link as soon as that's back up. Brief synopsis of last two seasons:

    - Ohio State won the 2013 title and Stanford won the 2014 title, but shared 1st place votes with Auburn and SC.

    - Lamar Jackson won the 2013 Heisman and Kam Pettway won the 2014 Heisman.

    - Despite what one would expect, PSU has not dominated the Big East, though they've been no slouch either. They've won 20 games in the last two years and won the division once, but no conference titles. They're 9-0 and #3 in the country right now, though.

    - Interesting coaching moves: Joe Moorhead went to be OSU's coordinator, Luke Fickell was hired at MSU from Cincy (the exact same coaching history as Dantonio), Greg Schiano took Cal's HC job, Leach got fired after an 0-12 season at Wazzu and is now the OC at UNC

    - As far as this year goes, the top 10 nine weeks into the season is: FSU, SC, PSU, Auburn, Stanford, Bama, UGA, OSU, KSU, and Klimpson. WVU was #6 and leading the Big East South last week before losing to #16 VT at home. Air Force is 9-0 but only #21. FSU got to #1 by beating Miami when they were #2 and Miami was #3 in @Yankee151's wet dream game.

    - We sit at 5-4 (2-3) with some crazy games thus far. We beat Ohio on a last second TD to start the year, lost to Cuse on a last second FG, beat #24 BYU in Provo on a last second TD, and lost to Pitt by 3 in Pittsburgh after coming back from 24-0. We were pretty bad in the first two games, beating Ohio by 1 and losing to Idaho by 8 at home, so I benched my QB and went to the junior Jake Sopko. Not a huge improvement record wise, but we blew out rival Miami (OH) with him and have been good offensively since then. We're the second worst team in the division talent wise (ahead of Temple) and it's entirely possible we drop our last three games (@#16 VT, #11 WVU, and Louisville) to miss a bowl. I predicted 5-6 wins before the season (5 before the game replaced my game @Miami with Idaho for some reason) so I'll be right in that area.

    - I may have to shift the conferences up, which would suck, because I think they're perfect. Most stuff is really good (the Big East finally got Cincy-Louisville, Pitt-WVU, BC-Cuse, UConn-Rutgers at the end of the year, VT-UVA play at the end of the year as well). The problem is the Big 10 and ACC and their round robin play. The game understands to put stuff like OSU-Michigan and Clemson-SCar in the last week of November, but then it also wants to have these conferences play during conference championship week. Sensible, but then it causes all sorts of stupid shit like OSU closing their year against Purdue and Minnesota playing Indiana. Sometimes it works alright (UVA-UNC play the last week), but it's still pretty annoying. I'll have to think about it.

    Cincy's football history coming soon!

    All-time Record: 605-588-50
    Bowl Record: 8-9
    Conference Titles: 14 (1933, 1934, 1947, 1949, 1951, 1952, 1963, 1964, 2002, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014)
    National Titles: 0
    Heisman Trophy Winners: 0

Cincinnati has had a team since 1885, but have only been known as the Bearcat since 1914, which comes from a game against Kentucky, where one of the cheerleaders started a chant stating, "They may be Wildcats, but we have a Baehr-cat (Baehr was the last name of one of the players)." They've played at Nippert Stadium since 1924, which makes it the fifth oldest stadium in college football. Their main football rivals are Miami (OH), who they've been playing since 1888, making it the fifth oldest rivalry in college football, and Louisville, who they've been playing since 1929 and have shared conferences with four times. They play Miami (OH) for the Victory Bell and Louisville for one of the cooler trophies in football, the Keg of Nails. They also have kind of a rivalry with Pitt, who they play for one of the dumber trophies in football.

Cincinnati is a...weird program, caught between the P5 and the G5. They've been trending upwards pretty much their whole history, but recently, they've stagnated, unable to get an invite from the Big 12 or ACC like some of their former Big East conference members, so they've been stuck in the American with former C-USA schools they had intended to leave behind. Before getting stuck here, Cincy moved up through the ranks of college football, moving from the MAC to the Missouri Valley Conference to founding the Metro Conference to founding the Great Midwest Conference to founding the C-USA (which was a combination of these last two conferences) to joining the Big East after VT, BC, and Miami left. So, they may be a Midwest program, but they're totally absent of the stability seen in the Big Ten or MAC. As a solid program within good recruiting grounds and decent fan support, the Bearcats have been able to attract a fair amount of good coaches, though, once again because of that weird spot in between P5/G5, those coaches go to Cincy to get better jobs. Cincy's employed Sid Gillman, Mark Dantonio, and Brian Kelly, but they've all left for higher profile jobs (I suppose Butch Jones can be slotted in here too...). Luke Fickell, current real life HC of Cincy, followed this route, taking the Michigan State job after the first season.

Currently, Cincy is struggling in the reformatted Big East and is one of the least talented teams in a division including Pitt, Louisville, VT, and WVU, and only won two games last year.

    2015 Review and 2016 Preview!

So...5-7. Yay! It's nice when the game actually challenges you. Given that Cincy went 3-9 the year before, was implementing a new system, and plays in a division where they're less talented than 2/3 of the division on average, that was right where we should be. Played a lot of close games all year, with most of them going against us, including the last one. We missed out on a bowl in what I imagine would be the most excruciating way to lose it for a Cincy fan, losing to Louisville at home on a last minute TD, who also needed a win for bowl eligibility.

As far as the rest of the college football world goes last year:

    - SC went unbeaten and won the title over FSU, who was unbeaten before that game.

    - PSU finally won the Big East, beating the CHOKIES in a tight game. They finished 13-1 and #2, with that one loss being a 35-31 loss to Pitt that preventing them from making the national title, so that's probably a nice consolation for Pitt fans. Other conference shamps can be found on the Avid page.

    - UConn is absolutely getting wrecked in this conference lol. They went 0-12 last year and gave up 42.5 PPG. I mean, we crushed them and we were mediocre as hell. I've coached there a million times, but I almost want to take over there to rebuild them to something respectable.

    - As far as my other corches go, Monrose keeps chugging along at SMU, as they went 9-4 last year, though they probably should've done better, because their offense was loaded. If I end up having to fix the Big Ten, SMU will slot in nicely in the Big 12; they have the talent to compete there now. I'm waiting on something really good to open up for him, ideally Michigan, because I plan on coaching a Big Ten team with my guy and it would be nice to have that to go against. Currently, Michigan is 99 across the board and unranked because they keep shitting down their leg, as is tradition @goblue96. Borowitz did fine at a rebuilding Baylor, but he needs to hit a bowl this year. And Feldspar was whatever with a Wazzu team with no talent, but they improved by two wins. I'm not sure what happened in the carousel, but I guess he got fired, because he was at IU when I moved to the next step. They're picked last in the Big Ten, but have some decent talent, so hopefully he'll do something there. I need to get these coordinator guys HC jerbs soon, because it's really frustrating to sim coordinator stuff as the CPU usually fucks everything up.

As far as Cincy goes this year, we're improved across the board, but still only ahead of Temple as far as talent goes and picked accordingly in preseason. I've put together a new playbook that I can post if anyone's interested. We've got a lot more talent on the offensive side of the ball this year, but I still need to pick a QB. I can either roll with Sopko, who was a good passer last year but offers virtually nothing in the run game, or I can take this new blue-chipper freshman I got, who's not much worse of a passer and a better runner. If I start him, that'll mean we're starting six true freshman this year, including two on the O line lol.

Or I could run a two QB system! Either way, should be a fairly decent season. We dodge PSU this year from the cross-division and pick up BC instead (who is still good: 88 OVR, 91 OFF, 88 DEF). We get the two best teams (Pitt (95 OVR) and VT (93 OVR)) at home this year. The CHOKIES absolutely slaughtered us last year 55-7, so we're hoping for some revenge. I predict 8-4, with losses to ND at Solider Field (it wouldn't let me play a neutral site at Indy for some reason), @BC, Pitt, and Louisville.

    Other corches:

    SMU: 10-2
    Baylor: 7-5
IU: 5-7 (they went 1-11 last year, so that would be huge)

This thread is almost making me go to TrogStop to buy a PS3 and NCAA 14. I miss coach mode.

Season four/season two at Cincy in the books! It was a successful season for the Bearcats and a much improved one overall, but especially for OC Corch Bruin. Let's recap:

    - I had been running sort of a two QB system up to Week 5 with Sopko and the true freshman five star, Jadon Robinson. At halftime of the fifth game, I said fuck it and started the true freshman. Sopko wasn't necessarily playing terribly (1396 yards, 8 TDs and 5 picks), but he was really erratic and didn't bring anything to the run game like Robinson does. We lost that game (against a top 15 BC), but Robinson went 6-2 as a starter and we finished 9-4.

    - Georgia won the national title over...UCF lol. UCF was the only undefeated team going into CCG week and Bammer was #2; what a sim! JAR lost to UGA, doe, and then Georgia beat UCF 49-39. Ohio State was also in the top 5 with two losses, so this one really threw me for a loop.

    - Rutgers won 11 games and the Big East! @Rutgers Mike wouldn't be looking for the razor blades in this sim. To add to his joy, they beat top 10 PSU, Cuse, and top 15 BC to secure the division three weeks in a row. And one of their losses was to the Bruins, so that's acceptable. They did lose the Orange Bowl to 12-1 UNC, but hey, good year.

    - Michigan went undefeated...and then lost to Ohio State. Sorry, @goblue96, looks like some things never change. They did win the Big Ten and beat Furd in the Rose Bowl, though.

    - FSU had one of the most loaded teams in the country (99 across the board), went unbeaten up to November, and then got curbstomped against then unbeaten UNC. No worries about that loss, but then they also lost by three TDs to an then unranked Clemson at home and Ole Piss in the bowl. They did beat Florida and Miami, doe. And @Yankee151's other team avenged him, because Miami ruined UNC's title hopes and beat them a week later.

    - UConn won 3 games. Why is this important? Because that's more than they've won the last two years combined (1). I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them beat Louisville midway through the year before I crushed them.

    - Some Furd RB named Dorian Maddox won the Heisman with 1622 yards and 24 TDs. The Tulane RB behind him had 2218 yards and 25 TDs, so he should've won. Or the ASU QB with 4125 yards passing and 44 TDs to 6 INTs and 625 yards on the ground.

    - Baylor OC and IU DC had decent years, I'm looking to move them ASAP as possible. And SMU HC had a down year with a freshman QB, only going 6-6 with some bad losses. We'll see how he does in the Big 12, because...

    - Planning on moving to a Big Ten OC jerb, so I'm going to be realigning stuff. I don't want to be at Minnesota and then play Indiana to end the year or some shit. So Brasky and PSU to the B1G and VT and BC to the ACC. The Big East really suffers in this move, losing three top 25 teams, while the Big Ten gets absolutely loaded, because Brasky and PSU are both top 15 and Michigan, OSU, and Wisconsin all finished in the top 25, with MSU at 23 going into bowls.
