@doh I wouldn't worry about you not having Cash because you should still have a lot of cap room, especially for a year you can't play IFA.

(Whatever your Scouting and Dev budgets are they would subtract from that Cap Room)

@Travis7401 I'm at $21.9m.. $21.4m in draft expenses then $13m in devo/scouting (as of now).

I also for some reason already have $13m in expenses to date? What could those be for? I don't think anyone hit their bonuses.

Do you'll typically undercut player's desires for draft compensation, or meet demand?

It's been so long since I've had to do this, I'm unsure of whether or not I should risk haggling or just meet their demand.

I haven't had one sign yet where I didn't meet the demand. A few had a demand in OOTP that was twice what they wanted once I drafted them but those were last draft (Gadd had a $7M ask in OOTP but signed for, I think, $3M).

Not trying to start a firestorm but I have no clue why we got rid of comp picks right when we went from 3-4 sims to negotiate to 1.

I just met demands on everyone. Under the old system I probably could've saved $4-5m but rather just get everyone signed.

Unless they are impossible, they will sign if you meet demand. You can try low balling players that have easy signability, but it's at your own risk.

I've always had a hard time keeping track of other team's cap room based on the website because it is a bit wonky, but you can typically go into your own financials in game and see a good breakdown of where everything is going in a balance sheet style format. The website is not very good at this, especially right at this moment of the offeasons since the player payroll calc is probably still including all team options and arb estimates that you might decline.

It was not "right when." No one needs comp picks unless you legit have no money.

we got rid of comp picks because people were intentionally not signing players in drafts that they felt were "bad" and then we ended up having a 1st round that was 30 picks long.

I'm excited to see my financials after submitting all these draft offers. Things are already looking rough for the upcoming year, but it's gonna get worse.

I took off 7m for whatever thing we change. it said budget room had 9m but i do have some cash issues so that would make sense. oh well, I can't give pendo up for a mediocre OF anymore
