2055 HUNGER GAMES - HG SPIRIT RATING = 30/80

Someone else can run it and I'll participate, but @OU11 and @Wooly et all finally broke my spirit. So many people just don't get the concept. SMDH.

I'll run this time but my rules are going to be as follows:
  1. Submit a guy and take a guy - no dumping a guy to clear a roster spot or salary
  2. Play the guy in WBL or lose a 5th rounder (bench and specialist roles are fine)
  3. NO STASHING THEM IN THE MINORS - only minor league time is for rehab assignments.
  4. NO Mike Rizzo/Terry Ryan "DL stints" (i.e. DL stints for guys that are out of options for minor league experience)
  5. 1st place WAR winner gets an extra 1st
  6. 2nd place WAR winner gets an extra 2nd
Any thoughts?

Sure. If you want to increase the prize pool, you have to donate your own pick the first year to try it out. Then if you get 9 people to play the next year the league is happy with it and it can become a set thing (I donated my own first round pick in the first hunger games, NML is donating his own 3rd for the betting). If you can't get at least 9 people to play then I don't think it's fair to give away picks that are LEAGUE SANCTIONED. The 9 people represents a referendum on the game each year.

I think you'll find fewer people willing to play if you're required to use a roster spot on these players full time. I think setting minimum playing time would be fine though. Removing the DEATH and DEATH penalty gets rid of the balance that we needed to dissuade people from donating shitheads (or leaving someone stuck with a shithead). Even I didn't have my winning player up in the WBL full time last season. I called him up in June after I got a chance to evaluate my roster and decide who I wanted to send down to make room. I probably wouldn't play with the above rules, because I'm drafting near the end and could potentially end up with an absolute worthless shithead that has to take a roster spot for the entire season? No Thanks, I at least need the option to kill a shithead (and punish the person who donates a loathsome player).

Just go back and look at the players who were killed. Tell me if you'd want them on the roster for a full season? (Actually this year the bad players weren't THAT bad. More in previous years).

KENNEY wouldn't' have made my AAA team

Minimum PA or IP or G is the way to go. Travis ran it pretty fairly aside from making up some rules as he went. Also, someone has to die. It's the Hunger Games.

Then how about this - you can submit up to three guys. I'd give my 6th rounder for most interesting death (as judged by me) of the turds that are left. I don't see any issue with giving the 38th overall pick for the guy with the second highest HANGRY GAMES WAR but I'm sure whoever would have the 38th pick that particular year might.

I don't know if you'll ever be able to understand this, but I couldn't put him on the roster. Trading around shitty players is fun for most teams and I'm sure I could take part in it at some point, but where I picked there was nothing for me to do. Plus when the real hunger games were going I gave the best players I could that actually would make a difference, so don't trog at me with that.

I fully understand the concept, I also fully comprehend the fact I wasn't going to play any of the players that were left because I was trying to win.

This is stupid. We normally do the HONGER GAMES toward the end of the offseason, but TonyImpatient&Jumpy bumped the thread when Tavaris was burned out from his loss. Now Travis has quit, great job.

Sounds great, I won't participate.

I was between killing an okay player or grabbing him in case of an injury. Travis should be mad at HAVE NOTS for not donating better players.

When Zo retires I'll play someone, hopefully that year is this year since Wooly is hateful and left him off the playoff roster according to the website. Guess who will be simming the first game of the WS to make sure he's on there.

You are just a selfish Millennial thinking it is all about YOU. You should have played my guy because you wanted to help me win the pick (or at least give him a shot). @Orlando managed to play his HG pick and gave him a great shot even though he wasn't the best player Orlando could have played. I played Sean Smith even though he looked like a RATINGS downgrade and he actually ended up playing better than ratings and I won a pick for KARL. Playing him to try and win the other guy a 1st round pick is half the game and you literally can't understand that with your mongoloid millennial brain?

Besides, you're even more of an idiot because he actually played well in the 1 week you gave him and then you demoted him while keeping this shithead on the roster: http://utopia.allsimbaseball9.com/game/lgreports//players/player_9503.html. Plus you spent half the season with only 24 men on the active roster because you and wooly are mongoloids who can't even count, so don't give me that nonsense about "don't have room because of zo." BRICK would have made your team better and you didn't play him because you are a dirty cunt face. WHORE

The best player donated ever was by OU, and it isn't close. He's on your roster.

Another case of OU NOT GETTING IT. Dude was great, but he wasn't ready to play in the WBL either. It's like his brain can't comprehend because he's too much of a mongoloid cunt whore.

I never drafted any OU players so wat

The best player ever donated was my pitcher who went to Rutgers Mike, considering everyone freaked the fuck out about me donating him. Too bad he had to die immediately.

KARL got this, he understands the Hunger Games perfectly. He's been on one end or the other of virtually every winner. KARL in the HG HOF

I also helped @TonyGin&Juice tank with Jean Andre. In that case, negative WARS were the more valuable WARS.

I did use him but my old friend @Mr. Radpants went and put Ryley "Terminator" Cutwolf on waivers who took all of ol' Jean Andre's ABs. That said, I did use Jean Andre as a defensive replacement during my "learn through tanking" experience but I doubt he would have been a positive WAR player even if he had gotten >300 PAs.

You gave me grief for not starting Egdio this year, but he wasn't ready for the WBL either. Dude was a AA player, just like Vader Darth.

Making up the rules on the fly is the only requirement for the job, smh.

Bro, I can't keep my name straight, do you really think I'll keep rules right? You must not be paying any attention to what I do - I ain't got no plans or rules except for rokken out like dokken with my cock out.

In fact, I'm willing, with the powers invested in me by absolutely no one in accordance with tradition, to hold a SPECIAL ELECTION for the CORBISHLEY TRIBUTE, If you agree to a 90m/year until 2057 contract should he go unselected. We can start it RIGHT NOW.

I'm willling to negotiate down to 60M this season and 85M next if it gets us the first ever SPECIAL ELECTION AUCTION in WBL history.
