Really like what I've seen in Spring Training so far. Started out 0-4...7-5 now through the first two weeks. Starting pitching has been really good. Bats have been pretty good...a few too many K's, but overall not bad. Also, if I could get that kinda season out of Volynov, i'd be stoked.

Predictions are grain assault, but they can be fun. They are based off your ST lineups and rotations so they can be misleading for teams trying to get players reps in other positions.

I'm happy with my pitching mostly. Even the bullpen, for the most part, has been good. Alot of 1 and 2 run games.

Also, be prepared for a Terry Evans rape party this year. Dude is raking and throwing out everyone that tries to run on him. I'm in love with him already.

I agree the North is certainly the power league especially with JD going for it.

Anyone ever tried an 11 man pitching staff? I'm entertaining it especially because my SP usually go deep into games. My MRs barely pitch

@Orlando borcked it when he simmed and the computer brought up more players to fill my active roster. If I wanted 40 guys on my active, I'd have put 40 guys on the roster. Stupid computer.

Anyone else having trouble getting on the sim? I can't get on the OOTP website and everytime I try to sign on the actual sim it says, "Failure: Could not Load data page from server"

I'm guessing their server is just down because their website won't load either. harumph

I can't sign onto OOTP Baseball 14. At the bottom for Online Leagues where you have to sign in...it won't sign in. Everytime it tries it comes up with a sign that says, "Failure: Could not load data page from server."

So I tried going to the OOTP Developments website and it wouldn't load. OOTP Developments

Ah. I get into the league a different way. But yeah the site is down so that's probably your issue. Our league website is still up if you still want to peruse the goings on

I'm on the game right now. I can't re-download the sim, so I can't help you there, but I am able to play around like normal.

I don't know why that happens. Check your management settings I guess. How many people were on your 40 man?

I had 40 on my 40-man, and I think 32 on my active roster. The computer went ahead and put the other 8 guys from my 40-man onto the active.

Also just to note, I don't really care either way here. I was just inquiring about it. I don't really care about the burned option year from those other 8 players.

Ah, okay. All these rules are hard to keep track of.

If I could I would have taken those 8 guys off of the 40-man, but I might need them so I didn't want to waive/DFA them. Oh well.

Every year. Its been fine so far, i do watch them every sim to make sure im not in a bad position, but so far ive always had a rested starter and at least two MR ready to go

I haven't been able to successfully have players be pitchers and hitters.

The game seems to be coded for players to pitch better in certain roles. While I agree with you in theory, no one has really ever used a closer by committee in MLB for an extended period.

I might mess with it a bit in AAA. He's a good enough pitcher to be a LH specialist (not really more) and a good enough hitter to just pinch hit (not raelly more either).

Well yeah i use closers and set up men but they are MR. I cant sim we might die, tornado heading for the lake house.

I used to do 7-day lineups in the UBL all the time. I might go back to it this year.

The massive difference in park factors IMO make it worthwhile. Also if I go to 11-man staff I could go to four man rotations when I have more rest and help out my bullpen a bit.

I used to also match up for opponent's SP and my own SP as well (if it's a GB heavy pitcher go with better defenders in the IF).

I never do it in my minors.. I just do "play every Xth day" I don't care if I win or lose in the minors.

Also Jets LB for a full year for this years draft picks in the minors
