Probably the most surprising run to the finals since an expansion team made it in their first season

I love the playoffs but it would be wild to see it officiated the even half as tight as reg season game. Though the injury lists after teams go out would be less impressive.

Good point. While Webber had a fantastic run in Nashville there was more than one postseason he seemed to run out of gas. Maybe with a supporting cast that's willing to do gritty stuff he's able keep up longer.

Of who is left I've been pulling for Habs/Isles. The Islanders I understand a little. They were in probably the hardest division and make the playoffs regardless of divisions and playoff format. Likely with similar seeding and matchups. Montreal is harder to believe. They look great most nights...

Other than it being an incredible moment it's hugely massive in the context of the series. That puck goes in and Isles are done. Tampa almost surely completes the comeback, takes a 3-1 lead and advances if that goes in. And it should have. McDonagh juked a defender and Varlamov out of their...

I loathe Perry and he probably deserves to have this happen on the reg. But it's pretty fucked that Vegas didn't get called for that.

I don't hate Vegas. They play fun hockey. I just won't root for them against anyone but Tampa I guess. Their story is they got the most generous expansion of any team ever, maybe in any league ever. TBH it's the way expansions should be done. It's hard to build a brand when they suck for 10-20...

Everyone I actually pull for is out and even teams I kind of keep an eye on at this point are gone. My preference would be Isles, Habs, Vegas, Tampa. But that's probably exactly the opposite order of what is likely.

I watched. Vegas looks like more talented Islanders. Not the most chances but when they got them they were converted. On D they kept most stuff to the outside and blocked a ton. We'll probably get Tampa vs Vegas which might be my least preferred outcome going in. Total chaos outcome of Habs vs...

Habs vs Islanders? Who says no? I've always rooted against Montreal but they're kind of making me like them. I agree that the winner of the West will be wrecked so there will be an opportunity. Still not sure that the North is on that level but a rested team versus a beat up one would help even...

That Marchand goal was nuts. The Islanders seemed to cash in everything. Avs/Vegas vs Tampa it would seem. Watch the Islanders make it having never been picked to win a single series.

I fell asleep in the 2nd but was surprised to learn that the Avs don't just processes other teams every time. Still won doh. Gotta imagine that Vegas isn't going to win 4 of the next 5.

Isles are usually a team I fall back on after everyone that I'm pulling for is out. They're perpetually the underdog and seem to overachieve recently but eventually run out of steam.
