The thing that never fails to confuse, delight, and amaze me is how the Skins are seen as villainous, and they suck! They suck ass. Their best player didn't want to play last season and they refused to trade him (for good comp) out of sheer spite or incompetence, and knowing BRUCE, it's a fucking 50/50 guess as to which.
The team sucks. The organization is shit. The players don't like it. The fan experience is dire beyond belief and they try act like the game-going fanbase is still the coat-and-tie crowd from the 60s instead of guys who make all their money from part time illegal crab fishing in Salisbury.
Best option? Just sell and move the team. Move, full rebrand. Nobody here with any taste really gives a crap at this point.

The team was loved until Snyder took over. Sell the team, rebrand, and move back into DC. It's a major market and a football first market when the Skins even approach decency. They'll pick fans back up from DC and VA as soon as the team isn't in BFE Maryland, and the Maryland fans aren't going anywhere.
Rich people with families aren't going to want to associate with the the southern Maryland sunburns that show up. It's going to be a long road back to respectability.

Maybe the "underwhelming" reaction is part of the problem. That we are so accustomed to these guys committing sexual harassment does not mean that it is less of a big deal when they do it. It's not ok to commit sexual harrassment, and maybe it should be a big deal when these people commit it.
I think it's mostly just the fact that our imaginations are more amazing than reality. They tell me it's a BOMBSHELL and my imagination gets to run wild! It's like how the monster movie is scariest until they show the monster.

It might be more surprising if the same organization didn't have its cheerleaders serve as escorts a few years ago. WaPo really isn't breaking news by telling us executives are commenting on female workers' backsides. That was already assumed! They hyped this for the views or took A LOT of stuff out.

My guess is the latter. The reasons why Santos, Michael, etc. quit were either not in this report (I haven't read it in full yet, WaPo paywalling me), or were softened in it or were ambiguous...and the full truth is a LOT more embarrassing. They probably couldn't get multiple people to agree on corroboration and pulled it. I would assume that's why they announced this and then waited until Thursday to actually publish it. People probably were not willing to go on the record.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how/why McAffee and Rogan vidyas make up like 78% of my recommended youtubes.... The only Joe Rogan I ever watch is the mashups that make fun of him having a boner for chimps and the only McAffee vidya I ever watched was a story about Peyton 5head being a time child at the casino and telling him to bet on RED 18 as he walked past, probably going to bed early. Peyton even gave him hand pistols pew pew!
I have not clicked on a McAffee vidya since and I still get like 42 of them recommended to me per day. I'm sure he has a fine radio show or podcast or whatever, but I don't watch sports anymore so why the fuck would I want to watch this? I'm only on youtube to watch some wizard card vidyas. My favorite wizard card podcast recently added webcams since COVID started, and boy was this a mistake. Hall of Fame magic players are really prone to on camera nose picking! To date LSV has just rolled the boogers up and stuck them to the bottom of his desk, but I watch in horrified fascination every episode to see if he'll eat one!

I'm obviously in the target demographic for these youtube channels... I play sports sim vidya games (or used to) and have hundreds of thousands of posts on a dead gay college football vidya game forum. That part isn't a mystery, I just want to know what I need to do to get out of the target audience. Just need to keep watching WIZARD card and Planner/bullet journal vidyas on youtube until I get tagged as a NERD!
