Why are you so mad? This is a forum for jokes

Why can’t elite prospects sign with a bad team?
Wait. We’re what? That’s not possible. A team can’t go from HAVE NOT for decades to HAVE overnight the way our league was set up. Ask @NML and @hayvisAlso, False Bay is obviously the best team in the league right now, I assumed you meant @jdlikewhoa signed him!
So there was only a single elite player in the whole class is what you are saying?
I can't tell if you bid everything on the top STARZ player (barely even a corner OF btw) because you are actually stupid enough to believe nobody else with a better team would place a max bid, or if you did it intentionally so that you could complain!

The game has dramatically changed since you last played or you haven't noticed... not sure but this is a totally wrong read.
There is no way in hell I am signing one guy for $4m in a hard cap. That is not how IFA works
Might be worth seeing what they do given equal offers from multiple teams?
I really think it's just random, they are choosing various levels of current success/farm system strength/budget etc.
The nice things is that every team is getting a few IFAs with a hard cap, so the playing field is more even. They aren't all signing all at once because teams can only commit so much money to one guy.
I’d like to see more data. Personality may play a role too.If a player is worth more than the cap, they (likely) will get multiple offers - and when that happens, naturally they are going to choose the best team. We only have a sample size of one for the league but this makes intuitive sense (like Radpants said).

I think the cap still has positives if this is true, but it would be difficult to get a lot of data on this. I know in the past FAs have chosen worse teams with similar offers. Not sure about IFA. The fact they sign so fast is dumb too.Which is exactly what I asked for before we set the cap
Yeesh. Otto really fucked borg here

I don’t know if it’s how things work IRL. Maybe it just never comes up, but old man IFAs signed to contracts shorter than the # of years of control end up arb eligible. I’m sure his previous contract had something to do with this awful amount. He had some success, but wasn’t that great. I don’t know if it’s a glitch, but it’s always been the case.26m, wtf?
If @Karl Hungus would stop playing like a minmax nut that would fix some of these issues.
Get a better roleplay shtick than beating a video game. For example, only target Koreans, pretend to be Sabian, play in a weird stadium and build your team around those properties, or keep a CORE of weirdos together and see how far you can take them. Then we only argue when our philosophies create mutually exclusive scenarios, like ALFIE dying a Distiller even though he's Swedish, instead of arguing over perfect balance.
Even if you have data (and if ur gonna to make a claim that doesn’t make intuitive sense I think you should), there’s no saying it would’ve carried over to OOTP 20. Or 21, 22, etc.
Because IFA has such high variance - from quality, to bust rate, to how they sign (randomly two versions ago they signed instantly, that was never the case before) - it’s easier to just remove it. Which was my whole point
@OU11HE AIN"T EVEN SWEDISH!
My first round pick dude is STILL not in my org. Any idea what's going on? Going to export here in 20 minutes comrade.
